Welcome to my next big project!
This is a traditional adventure hack, i have yet to write the entire story. In this hack, you have a companion too! Her name is Glubita, who's from a far away planet called Heiwatia. One dark day, her world was covered in darkness by a giant black orb that formed over Heiwatia. She was able to escape and look for help. Now that she found Mario, they both can travel to Heiwatia and stop the dark energy that formed over her world.
This hack has collectables. Small dark orbs that generated from the giant dark orb that formed over Heiwatia. They have been scattered throughout the galaxy and a small portion them landed on earth. There's 3 orbs in every level. Later on in the game, there will be levels that you can only unlock by collecting a certain number of orbs. For example, if there's a "4" beside a level, it means you need to find all 3 orbs in 4 levels to unlock it.
My dude, Russianman will also be helping me with asm and stuff, he will also make some levels as well.
Judging by the DKC soundtrack, I assume you were going for the DKC level design aspect (focusing on two or more gimmicks rather than just one).
Some parts of the level focused on Boss Bass, some on the falling cement blocks, some on water physics, then you slowly integrated them all together near the end.
One nitpick though:
At 1:22, the midpoint seems to be low enough to where the Boss Bass can eat the player. I'm sure that midpoint entrance is safe, but I think that collecting the midpoint should be safe as well. It would suck for a player to risk dying for collecting a midpoint in my opinion.
Other than that, I thought this was quite fascinating.

I was planning to add a boss, but since Russianman is already making the first boss of world 1 and i can't code, i'll leave out the boss for now.
Who knows, maybe i'll learn to code sprites with Erik's ASM Workshop.
That's right! You transform into a beetle.
My idea is that in all the secret levels, you can transform into and enemy and collect dark orbs.
With the Buzzy Beetle, you can only jump one tile high and you can't run. But you can climb up walls!
This was inspired from my hack "Buzzy's World Tour" where you had the same mechanichs. (Except the wall climbing)
