After going on my most recent ExGFXing spree, I got motivated to make something with the new tilesets. Again, Super Luigi Land is NOT canceled. I find that side-projects help prevent me from burning out on long hacks like that.

I haven't written the opening blurb yet, but I think I'm gonna make a Sonic Generations "THERE IS NO TIME HERE!" reference. THERE IS NO PLOT HERE!!

So far, I've built 3 levels of 24.

LEVEL 1 - The Grassy Knoll

It's a typical grassy first level that uses my Classic Grassland 3 set. Since this hack is chocolate, I decided to replace the Yoshi Coins with chocolate bars. *smacks lips*

Later, Goomba!

Get away from MY chocolate, Koopa!

LEVEL 2 - Analog Underground

Well, I couldn't call it "Digital Underground," could I?

I got a shell, and I'm not afraid to use it.

Yeah, you COULD go down, but maybe you could also go up...

LEVEL 3 - Back in Them Hills

It's a hilly level.

Goomba-Generating pipes are pretty common here. This level is a bit of a shout-out to 1-2 from Super Mario Bros. 3.

You just made me hungry for chocolate
Mecha-Porky #69 mechanically dabbed!
Thread for hack I might not finish due to poor time management
lol i'm already eating chocolate right now XD
Looks nice so far.
But I think it would be better to have at least a simple story going on.
Vanilla:made to order felt forgeatable because it was just a few random levels in the middle of nowhere.
While your other 2 mini-hacks were quite memorable, especially Oiram's Invasion.
You could even take the chocolate idea and turn it into the story of the hack, where Mario is going after his chocolates that were stolen.

Also a sugestion, add more exploration, I love your level design in pretty much every hack you made, but the levels are way too linear with maybe a 1-screen secret area hidden or not, and 1ups are too restricted, you could add 2 secret areas per level where maybe the player could acquire secret 1ups or coins.

A example of this is in Kamek Island where you have to cross a whole world with just 5 lives and no 1ups on the way and a game over made the player restart all over again.

I wish you luck with this, looks promising and I will play for sure.
Having a less serious plot like having to recover the chocolate might be a good idea, but VMTO had no plot and was just a level collection.

Either way, I've done another level, but before I show it, here's a glimpse of the Overworld.

LEVEL 4 - Mushroom Hop

It's a mushroom platform level, and the green ones are bouncy.

The red and pink ones may not be bouncy, but these guys don't care! They have Pogo Sticks!

Better watch my landing!

Boing! Boing! Boing!

Suggestion: Can you make a chocolate themed level since this is "The CHOCOLATE Collection"? Again, just a suggestion
Well, I do have a chocolate-themed tileset that I submitted here back in 2016. Yeah, this would be the perfect time to use it.

2 new levels incoming!

LEVEL 5 - Tropi-Calling!

It's a beach level, natch!

If you see a tall tree, approach with caution!

EXPLODING COCONUTS!

Gonna need a Switch to get that Chocolate Bar.

SWITCH LEVEL 1 - Gold Diggin'

A gold mine is the perfect place for a Yellow Switch, right?

With this much gold, I'll be set for life...maybe.

Yep.

nice good luck#wario{<3}
Exploding coconuts!? This beach can't get anymore dangerous than this. #tb{XD}

I like your Gold Mine idea for a Yellow Switch Palace too!

FINALLY back to work on this after a bit of a hacking break...

LEVEL 6 - Take Me Under

You can open the small treasure chests by pressing down while standing on them.

Why's it called "Take Me Under?" I felt like making another music reference. "Take Me Under" is an O-Town song.

Volcano Lotuses under water? Why not?

Revenge of Calamari!

Nice this level!

Thanks, Infinity.

LEVEL 7 - BEACH BUM BADDIES

It's a lovely night for a walk on the beach. Just try not to wake up the Goombas.

Waking up a Bob-Omb may be worse. They have such explosive tempers.

I could get a prize here if I find the Green Switch, am big, and don't kill the Koopa that was here. I already killed him before taking this screen though.
