Aloha guys!

After to have submit a demo, I'm continuing the hack. Something I must take breaks, then I can't finish it before some small years but don't worry, I'll not abort it.

I already can show you some finished levels screenshots of my hack.

Parce que comme je ne parle pas complètement l'anglais, je dois éviter des expressions qui n'existent pas en anglais contrairement au français dans le hack. Mais il y en aura un qui jouera d'abord en français et dira tout ce que ça signifie en anglais sur un autre site et je ferai des copier-coller pour traduire en anglais les textes que j'ai créé en français dans le hack.

FR: Merci N450. Malheureusement, le forum francophone est mort, c'est pourquoi je viens en parler ici. Au fait, quand j'aurai terminé le hack, j'envisage même de faire une version espagnole.

I finished five new levels and I'm making a new level.

I deleted level names in the thread to avoid spoil.

In the hack, I added ExAnimations for Yoshi Blocks, I changed a little the Yoshi Plain level and candle flames in the Old Forest Villa level, I changed some level names and the text of the Message Box in the Fuzzy Woods level and I changed musics to put some sampled musics. I changed the world's name in my hack. It will not be "Artemus" anymore, but--

Sorry for the late reply, I was very busy these days. But now I'll give my proper feedback about the demo.

The first thing I have to say... The presentation and the graphics are the best part of the hack. You combined very well various assets, as seen in various stages of the hack.

About the level design, I think it can improve even more. While in stages like that one from the mushrooms and the swamp are very nice, I think you could tweak a bit more some like the Blue Grotto. Some stages I found way too easy, while others were a bit more hectic. The curve of difficulty is a bit odd, if you ask me.

Also, in the forest exit, you mention about climbing tree branchs and the rest of level doesn't use it anymore. It's not bad, but weird. I think it would be very nice if you expanded this gimmick.

The priority in the pillars of the forest castle looks so odd. And kinda annoying, tbh.

In general, the hack is okay, but needs more adjustments in the level design. I definitely see the potential there. Good luck! #smrpg{y}


Ah. That's just to try to get 1UP by using a Red Koopa Shell on all Buzzy Beetles and don't worry, it's not impossible. And I planned to make two other levels with tree branches.

Are you planning to replace the hud? It looks unfitting with many of the custom elements.
