ripping graphics

hello, I have been trying to put a picture into my map 16. it works fine and looks perfect when I do it. then I save the map 16. but when I go into another room and then re enter the room with the newly ripped graphics, they look terrible. how can I fix this? this happens everytime, even if I save the map16 to a file and reload it. I have extracted the egfx as well, they still look messed up.

By "going into another room", do you mean changing levels in Lunar Magic or in-game? Also, what method are you using to rip your graphics?

It sounds like the ExGFX files aren't being saved. Have you tried pressing F9 in the 8x8 editor, the re-inserting ExGFX immediately afterwards?


 
I will try that next, and yes, by go into a different room I mean I page up and then page down and the gfx are messed up. I am using ms paint, following the tutorial found on this site.

So I went back extracted the graphics and then saved the 8x8 tile editor by pressing f9. I reloaded LM to see if it saved and it did not. is there a problem with my graphics folder?
