Description: A Spike Top that acts the same, but they move fast like the Sparky/Fuzzy. They are blue with the fast walking animation.
I like the Shovel Knight checkpoint a lot on a technical level, I'm just not sure if the mechanic works in SMW since coins aren't nearly as important as treasure is in Shovel Knight. Maybe if you could have them contain 1-ups or easter eggs of whatever kind? (this is not a request by the way)

I really appreciate you doing requests though, as I'm sure we all do! Good luck pulling through with that (and for all I care you can feel free to ignore more ridiculous ones if it gets too exhausting).

Requests with vanilla graphics?

I want a SMW Goomba Tower, like the one found in the Super Mario 3D Land and 3D World.
Put 4 goombas stacked on top of each other. (16x64 size?)
When you stomp in this enemy, spawn 4 goombas.
I'd like to request a lineguide rope that moves on its own.
without the need for Mario touching it to start moving.
I feel like your seagull sprites desperately want to be dragonflies, with the way they dart back and forth.

But if you want suggestions, try some of this:
A line-guided sprite that also drops/launches other sprites (let's say Bob-ombs by default), either when Mario is nearby or just regularly on its own.

It's always great to see some twists on the vanilla sprites!

I really love those Flying Chainsaws! They certainly have a lot of potential uses and look really polished! The red one looks particularly evil!

That Elite Ninji also seems a very tough guy to deal with! I could see some pretty intense levels being made with him!

The Chasing Porcupuffer is the thing we always needed, the vanilla Porcupuffer but without the jank! xD

Also, it's amazing that you not only did all these nice sprites, but you're still taking requests! Really great job with this thread!

What about one of the Chuck's with wings.. I don't know how it would act though.
How about a SML2 Shark that behaves like a Fishbone but can be killed and setting an extra bit can behave like a Dolphin but it hurts you?

I hadn't seen the fire Chuck. I think that's cool enough to call off my request!
Good chance this is too hard but could you make the boot from Super Mario Bros 3 and then just skin it as a Yoshi, in other words make it so I can have multiple Yoshi's that can be mounted and jumped off BUT they do not need to have the ability to eat things.
All of these sprites look really awesome to use. Good job on those. I wish i would be able to make sprites from scratch that well.

As for a request, not sure how hard this is but I wish someone could make a functional single mushroom scale platform that doesn't have the spawn issues of the original sprite, as the original and disassembly have the habbit of disappearing and not reappearing once a certain distance was reached (which is why it was an autoscroller level this was used in).

I am doing this next. I have already made everything, the only thing missing is fixing Mario-sprite interaction which is still a bit wonky.

I will try to do a request per day, but be patient because I'm not a sprite-creation machine.

Requests will be closed at the end of C3, in 2 days.

Goomba Tower



A tower of 4 goombas that moves towards Mario and, when jumped on, it spawns 4 goombas. Note that interaction with sprites is limited to the Goomba at the bottom of the tower due its clipping.

I guess a lot of people don't like underwater levels. I know I do, and I've already been inspired to make a level around it. I excited to use it.
What about a checkpoint kinda in the same style as super mario maker where you can either set it to make mario big or not #smw{:TUP:}

The sprite you're talking about go recoded so it behaves closer to the one in the video you linked. It wasn't submitted to the Sprites section (yet), though.

Sounds like something that can be easily replicated by changing a couple of values in the Disassembly.
