Well well, it's already been a year since i first started on this hack. And about 9 months since i actually started making the levels. Wow.

Here it is, the second and most likely final demo of Super Mario Travellers.
You can check out my thread from last C3 here!
In this demo, there's a new world and 6 new levels.
I'm also teaming up with Russianman! He'll help me with asm and will make some levels too! He also programmed the first world boss, and i edited the asm file. Special thanks to him!
You can enter the Info house after beating the first level, to read some information about the hack.
The story has also been expanded!

Bugs will appear when playing this on Bsnes and console

if you spot any flaws and stuff, it's probably because i was rushing to finish this.



Now for my second hack.
Some of you may remember this one from C3 Winter 2018. Sadly i didn't have the motivation to finish it, so this hack is now discontinued.

I can't wait to play the new demo of super mario travellers! good work as always stivi!
Okay, I played this on a RetroDuo with an SD2SNES, just to let you know.

I wish you can just skip the cutscenes entirely like you could with Superstar Mario World. I'm sure a lot of people here just don't care about the story. This introduction also has the problem many hacks have of making you have to wait seconds before you can go to the overworld after the last text is on screen.

First off, the platform camera locking from the original SMW is now an issue. Especially in those vertical levels because it requires you to wait for the screen to scroll up before you can finally see what you're doing. I wish this was fixed.

Also, I think these levels need some difficulty balancing. Level 1-1 has that SMW2 piranha plant that's annoyingly precise at throwing its projectiles at you, which just makes the first level too hard. If it weren't for that one enemy, this level would be fittingly easy.

I think the cloud things in 1-3 are not working right. If they blow at you, it doesn't really do anything. You aren't being pushed by the air. All it really does is just block a bit of the screen.

I couldn't get past level 1-4 because of the part with the throw blocks. You can't break the bricks by throwing it from a distance, so you have to break them up close, but you will fall down if you do that. So I couldn't get past this level.

I have to mention the thing that follows you around. It doesn't do anything at all. I don't know if you eventually plan for it to be able to help you at some point in the future or not, though.

I like the idea of the orbs, and I like how this game allows you to save whenever you want. I like that there's no lives system, so you can keep trying until you get bored. I also like how getting 100 coins makes you invincible for a brief moment, which gives the coins a purpose.

Okay, so those are my unorganised thoughts on this game. Feel free to read them if you have the time. If you disagree with me, feel free to ignore my feedback completely and stop listening to me.
