Your forest area is very well done...it's very "leafy", and you did an excellent job on the detail. Awesome job!

Like I said before about 3,509 times, your style of GFX amazes me more than anybody elses!

Thanks a lot guys! I'm glad to know that you all liked the graphics! :D

Wow Broozer. This hack looks fabulous, graphic-wise. This looks awesome, dude. I love your graphics, they look TSRPR-ish. I like that style.

I can't think of a valid complaint here, other than the fact that the flowers kind of clash, but it's nothing major.

So... eh... awesome hack. I hope to play it once it's released. :)

Although I'm not too fond of the goombas =/
they just... don't fit, somehow =/

Edit: Grammar

Thanks for the positive criticism guys. Suns and Anti-matter Drone, are you guys refering to the flower located ON the ground or INSIDE the ground? I guess it's the first option, but just so I know exactly... might tweak it a bit, it really looks a bit out of place. The Goombas are actually supposed to have huge eyes and are supposed to be cartoonish. Sind, I'll see what I can do about them though...

Also, I'm working on another background, when I get it done, I may post some screenshots.
looking at the Goomba, I noticed that unlike everything else in the foreground, it doesn't have a fully black outline. That might be a reason.
Your graphics amaze me!
meh

Glad to see some updates here! The level seems detailed too much. But, that's not a problem, it's an excellent thing. But, I agree with Sind; The goomba doesn't fit too well with the hacks... that's not a huge problem, but yeah... you may change their graphics. Keep up on it... also a question.. are you working on the overworld? Or will you hide it to show only when you'll release the hack?

@Sind: I edited it a bit, however, in my opinion, it looks like the same thing it was before:

@Marioman57: Thanks!
@Shinnok: Actually, the overworld is one of the first things that I make when I start working on a hack, though it's not complete for now. But if you want to see how is it like for now, click here. As you can see, the bottom left corner of it is still not done... but I hope you like the rest of it. :)

By the way, I was toying with the palettes of this and this is what I got:

Does it look better than previously? Please let me know.

EDIT: Shinnok, there are still some small errors in the overworld, and Sind will probably point them out. :P

No offense Sind

About the goomba.. still doesn't fit I think.

About the overworld it looks good, there are small issues but I'm always too lazy to point'em. But, I don't like to put Layer 1 Objects in front of decorations of Layer 2, like the palm trees in front of the happy hills, rocks, etc. But, that's a personal opinion, and it exactly doesn't take as a critic. Also, a Yellow Bridge doesn't sound well, I think it'd be better if you put the bridge as the same color of the cliffs/signs (that apparently share the same pallete, due to SMW Overworld's limited palletes)...

And of course, the pallete of the house is better! My eyes aren't complaing now.

EDIT: A thing about these tiles on Overworld:

See on the red arrows? There are some 1x1 green squares on their corners. They doesn't look good, even they have been present on the original SMW. I'd suggest to change these small squares to black, or blue (when faced to water) and brown (when faced to cliffs).

That overworld looks great Broozer! I can tell you put a lot of work into it.

Also, the house is much better now. The background is perfect, and is no longer painful to the eyes.

lol, if you wish =P

only some missing black lines, unnecessary back lines, missing inner corners, and top-part of the platform being different then bottom-part.
Nothing critical at all, just some small, easy to fix(and hardly noticeable anyway =P) mistakes.
You sure got talent at this ;)
I especially like how the black lines look, those dots.

Oh, and as you probably noticed, I haven't corrected the bottom-left part(For obvious reasons =P)

And yes, I agree with shinnok, the goomba still looks out of place D=
But the new house-palette is way nicer then the old ones. Oh, and here's a little idea; what if you make it possible to look through the windows?
The goomba doesnt look out of place to me. its graphics seem to fit this hack well..... i dont know how i telled that
I also think the Goomba graphics fit well with the rest of my graphics...

Okay, guys, first of all, HOORAY FOR MY 1000TH POST!!! :D

Secondly, here goes a video of the third level of Golden Paradise, called Vineclimb Coast. The level doesn't feature lots of vine-climbing though, but I guess the name fits well with it. Here's the link to the video: Clicky!

As said in the video's description, you should ignore the fade, something which I haven't fixed yet.

That's it guys, it's not the whole level, it's just a preview of it. There will be a part before that treetops part. And also, sorry for my bad gameplay... but if I can beat the level without savestates, this level will be extremely easy to you, even though it's a bit too long. :P

Enjoy! And also, some feedback would be nice. :)
This looks like an AWESOME hack. i would LOVE to test it if i could...

anyway, u should apply the fadefix patch.

the level design is so good!
This looks like a great level! I just want to say that, should the player have messed up (In the part with the P-Switch), they won't get much time to recover from the loss.... Also, I think that the "vine-with-muncher-spikes-above-and-below" parts look rather plain and boring. Perhaps you could occasionally add a space to jump with a bullet bill coming by or something.
Thanks for the comments you both! :D

Geno, I'm sorry, but I'm already full of beta-testers... and also, don't worry, I'll apply this patch soon. ;)

Drone, I think the P-Switch is quite easy to be pressed no matter where it is, but maybe you're right... then I will see what I can do about it. Also, I don't think the vine-climbing parts with those spikes are boring, c'mon that's the level's main idea! :P

Thanks, however. :)
Broozer, that level looks absolutly incredible, the GFX, the design and the sprites all work so well! Man, your BG's are superb too!

I can't wait for the next update!!

Personally, I hate just moving slowly like you have to do on those.... Anyway, I didn't mean where it was pressed but after it was pressed. What happens if you get there but you are already running out of P-Switch time because you thought you were supposed to go somewhere else? What happens if you kicked it into a hole accidentally? Do you have time then? Nope. You sure don't. Why? Because you already did other stuff and you have more to do....

EDIT: Level 33 marker.
Wow, that's a huge level! It looks very well-designed. There are so many alternate paths, it should be fun to find all the secrets of the levels. The graphics are very charming as well.

I like what I see so far! :)
The level design itself was solid, nothing impressive there but no flaws. I like it.

But the real strenght of that level was the atmosphere. First you are near the jungle, you can still see the mountains in the background... Later, when you go into the pipe, you enter a place deep in the jungle with death traps and many grassy stone blocks....

One advice from me: You could draw a muddy arrow tile in the dirt instead of making a hole for the arrow sign. It would look better in my opinion.

Sadly I dislike the cave bg... It looks very boring compared to the other detailed background outside.
Thanks for the comments guys.

Drone, sorry, now I understood what you were trying to mean. So if there are still some chances to the player lose the P-Switch and the such, I guess I'll put something that makes the player return to the P-Switch area once something goes wrong. ;)

Also AMD, I may change the level design a bit in those parts as well.

Breakfast, thanks for the comment. I guess I'll give your idea a go, it may turn into something nice. Also, the cave BG is going to be edited, since it's a bit too "boring" and unoriginal, so don't worry. ;)

Kc and Golden Yoshi, thanks for the comments, glad to know that you both liked the level overally. :D
I was talking about the time! If a player loses it, they don't have enough time to go back, get it and finish the level!
it looks really really great! but yeah maybe the sand should be less solid? so it wont look like sandpaper boxes =P but i like how you add seashells into the sand to make it feel more like you are in the beach! keep it up and this will be a hack that will be remembered
