Just a man showing his stuff off... nothin' personal kid. [NEW: VOL. 1 & 2 for Arrangements]

MusicSuper Mario World

It's Summer of 2019! C3 is here! You've asked for quality content. I've got none here. But I've got other things for you to cringe to.

I've got:
Mega Man X - Armored Armadillo's Theme (Pro Gamer Arrangement)
Mega Man X2 - Bubble Crab's Theme (Epic Gamer Arranged)
Rockman & Forte / Touhou EoSD - Cold Man's Theme (Lunate Elf Mix)
El Sonidito (Lazy P-Switch Edition)
Touhou Mario - Wakana & Vitor Present (Flame Hyenard Version)
Super Mario World - Persona Presents
A-ha - Take On Me (Invincibility Remix)
Demoman's Soup The- I mean Touhou 10.5 - Drunk As I Like It ~ Suika's Pre-Boss Theme (Arranged)
Mario Party / Touhou 4 - Play a Bad Mini-Game! (Arranged)
An Eternity that is More Transient than Scarlet (SNES Castlevania Styled Arrangement)
Castlevania - Vampire Killer (Mega Man X Styled Arrangement)
Castlevania - Stage Clear

NOTE: The styles don't mean they fully use that game's soundfont, they just mean they are arranged in a way that make them sound like they could be used in the respective games they're based off of.

Things that I actually made. (SPC Only)

Some songs other people on the site have made that I arranged. There's too much to explain, so download the zip and see for yourself

Arrangementception (Vol. 1)
- Most of these songs (alongside with some of the ones above) are for a romhack I'm working on, Touhou Xtreme ~ Tears of the Scarlet Moon.
Note: This isn't 100% of the game's soundtrack and some changes might be made later.

Arrangementception (Vol. 2)
- These were songs that I messed with only to almost discard them because I could fit them in or I didn't like how it sounded after I tweaked it.

Also, don't forget to check out Daizo Dee Von's and Ruberjig's thread. They also did some amazing resampled arrangements!

Fantastic job! I like majority of these arrangements. Keep up good work!

Link doesn't work dude. The second link tho... all those arrangements are super good. I love how memetastic that megalo remix is lol, but I'm more impressed you sampled Dangerous Fight... and changed it's pitch! In fact I noticed you really varied up some of the songs with pitch shifts and what not, which must've taken you a while to do haha.

Oh also... TF2's "victory" made me laugh.

The link to Things that I actually made. has been fixed. Sorry about that.

Also, thanks. It was and still is a big adventure for me into the real of SNES Porting Remixing. In fact, I'm gonna give a huge speech about it:

So, I mostly used the hX & $EE $XX commands for the pitch change for any non-percussion instruments (well, $EE $XX is more of a tuning, making a song sound a li'l off-tuned, which I thought would be cool, but that's just me.) and kept it in a global macro to change quickly on the fly. If there was a song that used a pitch bend, I'd use the $E4 $XX and then use the hX command on the percussion (suggest it was $E4 $01, then the percussion would be h-1). I kinda wanted to give this soundtrack more of that "Super Street Fighter 2" feel, where a good chunk of those songs had pitch changes to make the songs sound different (heck, Guile's theme got repitched to its CPS2 version... by one note).

For The Dangerous Fight, I ripped the Sonic 3 "GO" sample from MixerProduction's Genesis Percussion Library (a quick google / youtube search should get you to the video with the link) instead of keeping the 8-Bit-Like Sound Imamelia had. I'm a fan of Launch Base's theme, so that's why. It's planned to be used as the second phase theme for the final boss with the Last Battle (FFA - RS2 Arrangement) being the first phase theme for the final boss.

For that one, I ripped the sound from RicePigeon's M.U.G.E.N. Sprite for Remilia Scarlet (because she's the main villain of my fangame romhack)... I don't know if it's even the original or not, but it was there and it was in ENGRRISHHH, so I chose to use it.

The same thing can be said for the victory jingles. I used C700 / Sony Acid to rip the samples and Audacity for speeding them up (in case of a sample exceeding the song's echo buffer / song's aram).

The change of melodies for some of my songs, like Megalovania (Flowering Night / Science Blaster), Ripple Field 1 (All Star / Totinos), Divine Bloodlines / Septette for the Dead Princess, are heavily inspired by SiIvagunner if it isn't obvious enough. It at least adds some more flavor to these well-beloved songs with some more beloved references within the songs rather than just having them in the game.

Some of the songs with .bnk files I had to extract and then figure out either to use the original samples from that file or to just use new ones as if I was porting my own song using PetiteM with the #amk 2 command. Some songs like Last Battle (Lufia 2) and Underwater City (Rudra No Hihou) worked alright at least, but there were somes songs that I didn't include that mostly used the original samples in the #am4 format, extracted from the .bnk.

Considerably speaking, this game has three main theme songs:
- Positive & Negative (Touhou 1) - Theme of Talia Toadstool / World 1-1 ground stage theme.
- Divine Bloodlines (Castlevania: Rondo of Blood) - Theme of Apollo Totalstine / World 5-1 ground stage theme.
- Septette for the Dead Princess (Touhou 6) - Theme of Remilia Scarlet / World 6-2 castle stage theme.

And I guess kind of...
- Panakeian Temple (Alcahest) - Theme of Sakuya Izayoi / Her cutscene theme. (even though every other theme of her's is a flowering night / night of nights rip of some sort.)

Personally, just porting a song just like it's original comes out to me as bland in a way, as there's nothing completely new to it (or at least for some of the SNES / NES / Genesis ports). Remixing / SiIvagunner-ing songs is something I personally enjoy. It could be just a simple change in percussion or an edit in a song's melody, but it comes off as something more flavorful.

Songs I hope to port / remix in the future:
- Ken's Theme - Street Fighter 2 (F minor)
- Suzaku Castle - Super Street Fighter 2 (F+ minor)
- Deep in Space - Mega Man 10 (B Minor)
- Outpost - Ninja Gaiden Trilogy (C+ Minor)

I started out arranging these songs as a fellow n00b who barely knew how to insert samples correctly and now come out as someone with some experience and tons of enjoyment from SNES music remixing.

Sheesh! What a speech I gave!

Did you make your own samples? These arrangements are pretty good. The "Defeated now bitch!" sample has me laughing so hard!
