I really liked the Directional Timed Lift sprites, I think you coded them pretty well looking on the images, looks something that Nintendo would have done to SMW or SMM.

The Spike Platform makes me remind a bit of IWBTH, could work well for some more hard levels and Springy Bubble/Bubble Platform looks pretty interesting, it reminds me of Act Raiser, Northwall Act 2, section 2.

Overall I see room for you learning more and you are going well so far. Consider practicing sprite movimentation and invest more time in coding platform sprites. Super Mario World ROM hacks is in need for more semi-dynamic platforms and I think you can be a future reference for them. Keep it up with the good work!

Is there a way to make these sprites a bit slower?

About the bubble sprites you made, did you made a vertical version of it?

Change speed in ASM file and bubble's speed depends on extra bytes, so yeah, they can move vertically, too.

i think the animation for the spike platform is a bit... janky? the whole thing lowering and spikes suddenly appearing. maybe it'd look better with an in-between frame, and not shifting down?

The spike platform looks nice too although I have to agree with idol that the animation is quite odd.

I agree, it does look wonky, could've added in-between frames, but shrugio. may fix for section submission.

it's nice to see you getting better at asm while releasing a bunch of sprites that look really interesting 👀👀👀

amazing work!
platform party continues with this abomination:

Line-Guided Rotating Platform
Type: Sprite

Someone suggested, so i made it. This is a line-guided grey rotating platform. Also includes triple version.

This terrifies and vexes me. Only a line-guided turn block bridge could calm me down.

But seriously, this is really damn cool! It's such a mad bit of platforming.

oh god oh fuck rotating platforms would never do this i'm shaking and crying rn

This is great stuff!
All your platform sprites are really impressing and useful. Great work!

What about a version of your line-guided rotating platforms, that only moves and rotates while Mario is standing on it (and stops when Mario is jumping off)?
I can see so many uses for these sprites.
The more platforms the better as they can really change up a feel of a level if they are built around using the platforms gimmicks.

The Clockwork one is really great as I can already think of levels based around this and the other sprites you have made.
Great work as always.

i probably should consider taking requests next time. For real, i'm kind of tired. Thank you all for participating in this platform party. It was fun!
Summer C3 2019 will forever be known as the one where a heap of crazy line guided sprites were released, and also a bunch of other things too.
When judging time rolls around, it's going to be hard to vote for the best asm thread, that's for sure.
