Super Mario Battle Royale [rom hack]

This is just a request, but I saw this Mario Battle Royale thing and it looks very very cool.

Here is a video.

So I was thinking, I remember seeing someone do a SMW rom hack where that had a total of 8 players in the hack all at once. They hooked up 2 of those 4 way controller adapters and yeah.

So the idea is to have the entire over-world beaten so that players can just pick whatever stage they want. Then the Battle Royale begins. You will have 8 players all trying to get to the goal first. Since all players must share the same screen the levels will have to have 1-way horizontal scrolling in them to prevent issues and players who are too slow and are caught by the scrolling just get pushed forward.

This would literally be a total blast to play and you could do it on the regular vanilla levels or make custom ones. Totally a party game, but I don't have the knowledge to pull it off, but maybe one of you guys will do it.
The idea is good, but its impossible to acomplish in a smw hack.
Even today no one has ever figured out a way to do 2-players simultaneos in a level.
Noobisch Noobscicle had attemped once, but thats it.
Also the SNES can supports only a max of 5 controllers and the only games I saw that is in the Super Bomberman games.
Check out my profile to see a list of SMW Hacks I made and where to find the latest and best version of them.
Thanks for playing and have fun!

If it's impossible to accomplish, how about make it in PC version, which it'd be better with python I guess. In addition, I think it might be not easy going on Snes console or emulator.
Like this but only with 8 players and its a race to get to the finish line. I swear that I saw one time that someone made a video with 8 small marios on it on the message box intro screen one time.

Would be nuts if possible.
it would be crazy (good crazy) but with SMW's resolution and limitations i think it would be near impossible alongside considering it needs to support online (otherwise noone would care to play it) so chances are *very* low but possible
best that could be done is a PC game.

Benny Harvey RIP, miss you big man.

Think again.

Online gameplay on real SNES systems is definitely possible.
I mean, the X-band did a similar thing back in the day.
I don't know about the limitations of SMW itself, but according to what the dev said, every player would be able to play the game in full-screen on his respective console together over the internet.
Maybe, it would be worth a shot to ask him about it, I dunno.

Simultaneous 2-player multiplayer has been implemented into games like the original Super Mario Bros. on the NES, but it was glitchy. Hypothetically an online SMW Battle Royale would be possible, but it'd be very glitchy and there'd be a lot of slowdown. I think the most it could handle at once would be 8 players.
