Hello! We've decided to create a whole video to show off the latest news of 100 Rooms of Enemies and more! For those who can't watch the direct due to lack of time, or you already saw it, this is basically what was covered.
Wario Trailer on it's own
Wario takes the credit in 100 Rooms of Enemies: The Nightmare Edition as the next confirmed character in it's massive roster of fighters... wait this isn't Smash Bros. With him, you will be able to dash into enemies to either instantly kill them or take a chunk of health off of 'em! As a sacrifice, he has the lowest jump of all the cast so far, making the game considerably harder in some areas!
We also went over and confirmed a lot of the unique features of the other characters in the roster, mostly just showing off Luigi's increased height and slipper traction; Demo's sprite changes and music choices; and everything that K-16 is able to do (and not do).
The "100 Rooms of Enemies: The Nightmare Edition - 'Make A Room' Contest" has also been confirmed again, though it will not be opened until Late Fall as it requires a special baserom and guidelines to create the rooms with all the confirmed characters and to know what sprites are compatible or not.
We've also posted a reminder about Krack The Hack v1.4.0, giving a summary of what the project is and it's new features since it's initial January release.
For those who haven't heard of it, here's the C3 thread
about it as well as the release page
. Basically it's a hack where you have to collect all the required keys per stage to win. The story takes place during a war between an alien race known as the Rixzos and the Mysticarian Empire when, out of nowhere, Bowser shows up to interrupt the war to imprison the Rixzos. Krack, being the leader of the alien race, was prisoned seperately from the rest but is lucky enough to meet a prisoner Koopa who gave him a potion to disguise himself as a Koopa... permanently. Now with Krack escaping prison, he journeys fourth to collect keys to free Rixzo kind! The question is, will he do it?
The game is unique for it's inclusion of Achievements in an SMW Romhack where each level had a secondary task with a (rather vague) hint of how to unlock each one.
Because of the Romhack Races group racing a special build of Krack The Hack, we have created a speedrunner-friendly v1.4.0 update that includes the brand new "Speedrun Mode" where the game is sped up in various areas, all cutscenes are skipped (baring a few exceptions relating to achievements), and all overworld messages are disabled (baring the very final one). This is perfect for those who plays first and ask questions later. In this update, we also included SFX in all the cutscenes for those who enjoy them, including a few voice samples thrown in provided by some of my voice actors and myself.
Daizo's Journey was brought up again featuring the boss "Jessica Jigsaw" for the very first time. You may have seen this character around as I have requested people to draw her countless times, but this is the first time you see her in action as one of the game's bigger foes to take down.
Credit goes to Ruberjig for coding the boss for us.

At the very end of the direct, we have confirmed that Bill's Adventure is being remade from the ground up as an entry from the Mushroom Kingdom: Beyond The Worlds series. Like the original, we plan on designing all the levels following the rules of the "12 Days Before Christmas Contest", but this time Bill will come with an explosion ability and better designed levels. In terms of plot, it will take place after the events of "P-switch: The Ultimate P-switch Void" with Daizo and Krack assigning Bill the Bob-omb to stop Jinker Bolts from blowing up their home land using the -now weaponized- Sinn Islands.
You can check out the original release here!
We also recommend checking out all the games we have shown off that were created by our friends!
