You may find a TV show, movie, cartoon, or anime to be bad, or passable at best, but find out that most other people either really like or really dislike it. But have you ever watched something and really liked it? Did you find your opinion on that show to be between passable or the best thing you've watched, but found out that the general audience thinks it's mediocre at best or absolute flaming garbage at worst? Unpopular opinions about movies and TV shows happen all the time, and sometimes it's hard to get people to agree with your thoughts on the show. In this thread, I want you to name some shows and/or movies (including anime) that you liked, but realized that everybody else seems to dislike or hate.
For me, I would like to say Johnny Test. While it's not one of the best cartoons out there, and the general audience just memes on it or outright hates it, I didn't think it was so bad. It had some neat ideas, cool parodies, and quite a bit of clever and ironic jokes. They may have filled the show with a bunch of whip crack sound effects and made it a "gross-out" show, but if you look past, I feel like the show is sort of a diamond in the rough. In my opinion, the show is very underrated, and while I can agree there are better cartoons out there (especially during its time), I liked it a lot. It wasn't the worst cartoon, either.
Garfield's Pet Force had very low review scores on almost every site I checked, with a mediocre 4.3/10 on IMDb. Though, the reason I have fond memories of it is probably because I watched it when I was a very small child, and back then I'd watch every single crappy DVD my mom got me from the discount bin at the video store dozens and dozens of times over because I liked them all so much.
I don't remember much of it at all, but I watched Wacky World of Tex Avery as a kid and I remember thinking it was alright (probably more nostalgic than anything), tho the intro is genuinely annoying and worse than "It's the Nutshack". According to TvTropes Nancy Avery (daughter of the legendary cartoonist) only approved the show to get her kids into college.
