Yoshi's Island Super FX Object Glitching

Help

Hi! I have absolutely no experience with Yoshi's Island (or SNES Game Development). I was testing out all Super FX (or BG3) objects, and when I loaded the level on an emulator, a lot of odd graphical glitches took place. What can I do to fix this. (The level replaces World 1-1)
Here's a video.

(I may have unintentionally found an unused graphic...that multicolored spring)
I don't know exactly what BG3 Objects did you test (or if you even are using Golden Egg or something), but most of them are setting-specific (palettte, tileset, animation and level mode), which creates incompatibities between some of them (and presumably, glitches). I'd recomend you to check my BG3 Settings github page, where I documented the settings needed to most of them to work (note that there may be information missing) to learn more about BG3 Objects (you can also try my Layer 3 excel documentation).

Generally speaking the game doesn't like it when there are multiple BG3 objects on screen at once, especially different types. It causes glitches like the ones you're seeing. If you're using this level to test out the BG3 sprites out make sure there's enough space between them so that only one is loaded in at a given moment.

The multicoloured spring graphic you're mentioning also isn't unused! It shows up in World 4 in the original game and it's used to blow up the big balloon.

The link you gave me is what I'm looking for. Thanks!
(Yes I'm using GoldenEgg.)
