As far as the emotion goes, it's exactly what the title implies. It's a calm song that feels a little emotional, before jumping into a happy staccato section. There's an overarching feeling of serenity.



This song was used in my VLDC 11 entry, but has been touched up a little since then.
SPC

This is a nice port but I have various issues with it, I'll get into the mixing first:
The open hi-hat should be panned to the left and the closed one to the right.
The snare and kick are too quiet.
The @9s and @14s are too loud.
The port itself is a bit too loud, as I mentioned above, this is because of @9 and @14 so just lower these instrument's volumes and keep everything else the same.

Instrument choices:
While @9 is indeed a piano, the fact that it isn't a looped sample makes the port sound kinda empty, you have two options: use @13 with ADSR or use optimized's @9 (ew ugly).
the @4 at 0:20 and in other sections of the song could be a @1 with a strong attack or a @6, maybe a @4 would also work but I think @6 or @1 would do a better job. Also when this instrument sounds you have an empty channel so you could try doing "PWM" using an inverted channel although I don't guarantee it will sound good so try at your own risk lol.
I believe the background @1s' release should be slower or have no release at all.

Song itself:
You're missing a @1 at 1:33, it must play at the same octave as the pianos, listen.

And the txt:

I think you should specify a label of r2 and then just call it when there's a bunch of rests like those, also why did you [[r2]]255 aaaaa, just use a label or make every channel have the same amount of ticks

^ You're only increasing insert size with that lol, since you're only increasing insert size, loop call command is 4 bytes and you only have 3 there (vanilla percussion is treated as their own special notes in the driver).
