Super Mario Radish Kingdom Adventure - Works in Progress

Hello everyone, after years of being away from the SMWCentral i've finally decided to actually work on this hack that I plan on releasing in 2020 called Super Mario Radish Kingdom Adventure.

So anyway about the story, Mario has decided to take a little vacation to the very distant but diverse Radish Kingdom. However as he has arrived that Bowser has unexpectedly appeared creating problems for the natives there. Thus, turning this originally planned vacation into yet another adventure.

This lives in the works in progress forum so moved there.

Hey AS, I haven't seen you in a while.

One very minor thing: I won't complain about the grammatical fragment on your intro screen since I doubt anyone will be offended by it, but you should at least change the "it's" to "its" without the apostrophe.

Minor issues aside, these screenshots look pretty good so far. I like your use of palettes and ExGFX - they make the hack appear very inviting. Keep it up!

Here are the images of the first level of Friendly Friends

It's your average Grass themed world that will mostly have SMB2 enemies as your main enemy of this World. As the game progresses you will come across even more diverse yet challenging enemies so do not jump to conclusions when the potential fun is just beginning.

Huh, I'm surprised no one's said anything yet. It's a little bit hard to comment because you use custom sprites here and there's no way to tell what they are through LM's window, and LM screenshots in general aren't the best method of showing off levels anyway because it's difficult to see the level as how the player will see it in-game.

The second point is where I'm getting hung up with these screenshots - It's a little hard to tell, like I said, but from my experiences using LM I can't help but get the feeling looking at these screens that the levels feel a tad empty. The enemy-less stretches of land look too wide, and there seem to be a lot of gaps in between spots of action.

I could be totally wrong though - I just recommend posting some screenshots (or a video) of the levels from in-game so that we can see the sprites and whatnot better.

I wish I could upload videos of gameplay, but I'm having trouble trying to record anything with the ZSNES emulator

Why don't you use Snes9x instead? It's much easier to record with that, and unlike ZSNES (which hasn't officially been updated since 2007), it will help you detect bugs much more easily since it's an emulator that's accurate to the real SNES hardware.

Regardless, even ZSNES can take screenshots simply enough - just hit F1 and the screenshot command is the first menu option I believe.

I think I'll try that out thanks. And once I have enough videos I will be more than willing enough to show them all out at once. BTW i'm currently working on the 3rd level of world 3
