Tip: Avoid "item babysitting". Do not force the player to drag P-Switches or springboards all around the level. This is not fun, nor does it make for interesting "puzzles".Not logged in.

Images are vital for me to make my forum post questions easier to understand. I've been gone a long time, but I think it's finally time to start rom hacking again. Problem is, the images from years ago are still stored in MyFiles, and are taking up over 72% of the space in MyFiles. I want to delete them so I can free up some space, but I'm scared that deleting them will cause problems with the older posts that they're referenced in. Does SMW Central have any policies/guidelines for deleting images from your own account's files?
No, there isn’t a policy on that. Look at any hack thread from before 2015 - most of them have dead image links in their threads. It’s not a big deal if the images go down as long as the hack’s no longer active, so don’t worry about that.

If you really want the images to work anyway, then save the images and reupload them to another host like Imgur or Dropbox and alter the links in your post to map to those links instead - that way you can still save space in your file in.

Another thing you could try (that might be a little easier actually) would be to just save the entire thread in the Wayback Machine (archive.org) and post a link to the archived version in the thread’s OP. Wayback Machine always saves the images as well when you manually tell it to save the page.

Science teachers are too afraid to teach their students about the element of surprise.

Believe it or not, I actually am (attempting to) work on a hack. Just very slowly.
There's no issues with using your files for that. In fact, from a site perspective I'd rather you keep images you use here in your files so sites going down doesn't mess up your posts.

I'll ask telinc to raise the limit for you.

Also moved to site questions.
Just posting to let you know that I've expanded your filebin by 15 MB.
