Hi, I'm using the disassembled version of the bullet bill by imamelia, and I want to do 2 things:

1 - Make the bullet bill invincible to Mario and when Mario touches it in any way he dies (I tried with the cfg editor, but Mario is still able to spin jump on it).

2 - Change it's palette (Also tried with the cfg editor, but it doesn't seem to work).

I'm unfortunately not going to be helpful, but indeed, sometimes editing the cfg doesn't do the trick because those specific things are "hardcoded" in the asm file.

Hi, im not really experienced with sprite asm. However you could make contact with the sprite run the death subroutine ($00F606). If you need any help doing that i'd be glad to try to look through the sprite's asm and try to find out how for you. The palette is probably one of the values in "TileProperties" as seen below in the bullet_bill_1c.asm file.

Thank you! How can I find the sprite routine when it is touched by Mario? I would like to do that with other sprites too

I'm afraid I'm a bit busy today so I will not be able to look into the specifics of the sprites ASM. However if you want to find out as soon as possible, I'd recommend reading some ASM tutorials if you haven't already and taking a look through the Sprite's code. Most of the code is commented. If you still cand find out where the code handles interactions with mario I can probably look into it tomorrow and see if I can find it.

This code would check for contact with the sprite and if it's the case, damage Mario. Note that you should check the option "Don't use default interaction with Mario" in the cfg editor:
